COVID-19 Response










Food Distribution

Bresee launched two meal programs and grocery gift card distribution with the mission of providing free meals to families already in poverty and suffering additional  financial distress due to COVID-19. Our Drop’N’Go campaign feeds over 150 families, on a bi-weekly basis, as staff and volunteers pack and deliver meal bags to families and homebound seniors throughout Los Angeles. Our Grab’N’Go campaign operates Monday through Friday from 11:30am - 12:00pm and functions on a drop-in basis at our center, serving over 100 meals daily. Our grocery gift card distribution provided gift cards in the amount of $300 and $500 to 150 families depending on size. To date, we have served over 700 family members through our Drop’N’Go program valued at more than $50,000, our Grab’N’Go program has served over 3,500 meals to community members, and we’ve distributed over $65,000 in grocery gift cards.
