Hold a Fundraiser
Many of our supporters encourage their friends, family, customers, clients and colleagues to make a financial gift to Bresee because they know how critically important our life changing work truly is. You can create an opportunity to make it easy for them to give while doing the things that they love.
- Walk/Run: Hold your own walk/run with friends, colleagues and family. Plan a route in your neighborhood (or venture somewhere new) and end with a casual lunch or barbecue. Encourage participants to collect sponsorships from their friends and colleagues or bring a donation to the event for Bresee.
- Car Wash: Have a car wash at a local gas station in support of the Bresee Community Center and donate the proceeds to Bresee!
- Lemonade and Cookie Stand: Host a lemonade and cookie stand in your neighborhood. This is a great opportunity to get the kids involved and instill the values of philanthropy at a young age.
- Host your own film festival/dinner party: Invite
friends, family or colleagues over to your house for a pool party,
a dinner party or a barbecue and ask them to bring their favorite
movies. After dinner and before you watch your favorite DVD’s
take a look at Bresee’s DVD of the
Winning Films from our Annual Film Festival on Social Justice.
After watching this together the only question you’ll be asking
yourself is, “how can we support this outstanding program?”
- Create your Own!!! Dream up your own creative way to help raise funds for Bresee. You’ll be surprised at how much fun it can be to help raise money for a great cause.
If you plan to organize a fundraiser, please call us and let us know how
we can help make your event a great success! We can provide
you with informational materials, flyers, and tips to make sure your
fundraiser is a glorious event! We also have a Speakers
Bureau, so let us know if you’d like one of our staff
/ board members or volunteers to come speak to your group.
