Community Park

Bresee, in partnership with private, government and community entities—including the nearby Los Angeles Eco-Village—opened a 20,000 sq. ft. ecology park in 2004. Named the Bimini Slough Ecology Park, it addresses not only the need for open space, but improves the environment through a drip irrigation system, a native/low water usage landscape, a bio-filtration vegetated 180-foot swale, a trash interceptor, and permeable surfaces.

The park, intentionally populated solely by native vegetation, supports environmental education and offers a safe, gated playground for kids. Along with our neighbors, we welcome schools, community groups and others with an interest in the environment to enjoy Bimini Slough Ecology Park.
