Leadership and Social Development
Leadership & Social Development programs offer youth (ages
11-21) safe and healthy after-school opportunities including leadership
training, and fun, social activities offered in our on-site recreation
center. Summer camps, local field trips, and organized sports leagues
give youth opportunity to build healthy relationships with peers who
live outside their neighborhood.
What I do:
I coordinate the L.A. Bridges Program, checking the status of the clients and their families. I case manage 40 at-risk clients and help them improve their academics and to stay in school, among other things. I also provide L.A. Bridges clients a Safe Passage from school to our youth center, and then transport them home after closing.
Why I love working at Bresee:
To utilize my experience to impact the lives of individuals and the community at large.
What I enjoy about what I do:
Giving back to the community. I enjoy providing a safe haven to all students and their families in our community, and providing them with the tools they need to succeed in life.
