Bresee Staff:
Education and Career Development

Education & Career Development programs provide youth with academic tutoring and homework assistance, job development and college prep services during after-school hours. Both youth and adults are offered computer access and training as well as arts and multimedia production workshops in our 28-station CyberHood computer training center.

What I do:
I supervise our Youth Computer Lab (CyberHood), teach evening computer classes for adults, and graphic and design classes for youth. I also design the Bresee website and work on other multimedia graphics and design projects including fliers, invitations, brochures, event t-shirts, etc. and from time to time do main event photography.

Why I am here:
I began working in the CyberCafé, providing members with answers to their technical questions. It was then that I decided to help educate our community on how technology can be a key to success in today’s ordinary employment world. As a staff member, I provide guidance, respect, and loyalty and encourage our members to seek for knowledge. As a friend, I am here to listen and to offer my support.

What I enjoy about what I do:
Having the answer, the patience, and just being here makes a difference in the lives of the hundreds that come through our doors. My satisfaction is that I’ve made a positive impact on those who chose to work with me. I’ve grown to learn that relationships can sometimes be the most important aspect in a person’s life, and building relationships is what I/we do here at Bresee.
