Bresee Staff:
Leadership and Social Development
Leadership & Social Development programs offer youth (ages
11-21) safe and healthy after-school opportunities including leadership
training, and fun, social activities offered in our on-site recreation
center. Summer camps, local field trips, and organized sports leagues
give youth opportunity to build healthy relationships with peers who
live outside their neighborhood.
What I do:
I oversee the Leadership & Social Development and Family Support
Services team, which means helping to make sure youth and families
are provided with quality programs and services that benefit their
future.
Why I am here:
I am here because Bresee helped me 16 years ago and I want to help
others. They helped me through tough times as a youth, prepared me
for and helped to pay my way through college. I am here because I
grew up in this neighborhood and I see kids who were a reflection
of me at 16, even younger, and I want to help them like Bresee has
helped me!
What I enjoy about what I do:
There is never a dull moment at Bresee—God works miracles around
here! I learn about myself everyday though serving youth and families.
What I like most is that I get to work with people I consider my family
(staff, youth and parents).
